What happens now
Your tattoo is currently between sessions while the skin finishes healing from the last appointment.
Multi-session tattoos require healing time so the artist can work on settled skin rather than irritated tissue.
This allows color, shading, and linework to be added safely and helps the final result heal evenly.
During this phase the tattoo may appear lighter, patchy, or slightly cloudy — this is normal as the skin recovers.
Once healing is complete, the project can safely continue.
What you need to do
Allow the tattoo to fully heal before scheduling the next session.
Continue normal aftercare until peeling and sensitivity have stopped.
When the skin feels normal again, the next session can be planned.
If you are unsure whether it is healed, you can contact the shop for guidance.
Typical Timeline
Most multi-session tattoos continue after about 3–6 weeks depending on placement, size, and individual healing speed.
Areas with more movement or friction may take longer.
To keep this moving fast
Let the skin fully heal
Continue aftercare as instructed
Avoid sun exposure
Stay hydrated
To avoid delays
Don’t rush sessions
Don’t schedule before healing finishes
Don’t pick or irritate the tattoo
